This service was started in 1987 and 1990 to provide street lighting for two small subdivisions off Whitevale Road in Electoral Area D. It involves the planning and arrangement of additional leased street lights as well as arranging for the repair and maintenance of existing leased street lights. Additional lights are approved by the Electoral Area Directors and BC Hydro and installed by BC Hydro at an extra cost, and repairs are provided by BC Hydro at a cost included in the lease rate.
